The role of mechanical seals in the dyeing industry.
After the operation of the mechanical seal in dyeing and printing machinery, if there is any loosening of the pressure cover that causes the seal to shift, the dynamic and static ring components must be replaced and should not be retightened for continued use. This is because the friction pair's original operating trajectory will change after loosening, making the sealing of the contact surface easily compromised. When the mechanical seal is working, the axial force caused by the pressure of the sealing fluid and the elasticity of the elastic components causes the dynamic ring and static ring to fit together and move relative to each other. Due to the close fit of the two sealing end faces, a tiny gap is formed at the interface (sealing interface) between the sealing end faces. When pressurized medium passes through this gap, an extremely thin liquid film is formed, creating resistance to prevent medium leakage, while the liquid film also lubricates the end faces, achieving a long-term sealing effect.
